Jeff Brain was the Valley VOTE President from 1998 to 2003. He has been a Valley Vote Board member since 2003.

He worked tirelessly, 7 days a week, during the campaign for Valley cityhood out of the Valley VOTE office in Sherman Oaks. He gave up his real estate business to pursue the dream of a Valley City. Jeff made many personal and financial sacrifices as he guided the petition campaign to get the issue to the ballot.

Jeff then represented the Valley City with presentations in all the public hearings of the Los Angeles County Local Agency Formation Committee (LAFCO). His participation was invaluable to the final LAFCO report that showed the financial feasibility of creating a new Valley City. He participated in the discussions that led to the terms and conditions between Los Angeles and the new Valley City.

He led the 2002 campaign effort for Valley Cityhood.

Jeff was chosen in 2004 to be the Chief Executive Officer for Smokey Robinson Foods, located in Pasadena.
