Polly Ward:


Polly Ward has been on the Executive Board since 2005 and has been reporting on numerous land-use issues and citywide neighborhood council activities for Valley VOTE. She is a Past President of the Studio City Residents Association, Past President of the Hillside Federation, served on 15 arts boards and is currently a board member of the John Anson Ford Foundation, served on the Studio City Neighborhood Council, and as the representative from SCNC to the Citywide Alliance and the Valley Alliance of NCs.

She designed, piloted, implemented and managed the Studio City's Farmers Market.

Polly Ward began her working life as a dancer in New York, in such Broadway shows as Lute song, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Top Banana, and New Faces of 1952.

After making one movie in Los Angeles, she became a writer/editor of technical documents in aerospace companies. She designed and established a technical library serving a world wide network of NASA Tracking Stations while working at Jet Propulsion Laboratories in Pasadena.

She attended: LA City college, taking electronics courses; USC, earning a BA in Accounting, and an MBA in Finance; and Marymount, where she audited Library courses.
