Trent Lange
has served on the board of the California Clean Money Campaign since 2003. He also currently serves as Chair of Californians for Fair Elections, the ballot committee that is leading the campaign for the California Fair Elections Act on the June 2010 ballot. He has been a spokesperson, lobbyist, and policy expert for the campaign, analyzing campaign spending and proposing solutions to public financing legislative issues both for California and elsewhere. He has been on the executive committees of two previous ballot campaigns in California and helped run the successful legislative campaign to get the legislature to pass and Governor Schwarzenegger to sign AB 583 in 2008 and put the California Fair Elections Act on the June 2010 ballot.
Dr. Lange has a Ph.D. from UCLA, with a multidisciplinary academic background in computer science, cognitive science, and cognitive psychology, and is the author of over 20 academic publications. He is President and CEO of Lange Fund Management, LLC., which runs a small but very successful market-neutral hedge fund.

Trent will focus his remarks on the importance of the passage of the California Fair Elections Act that is on the June 2010 ballot.

(Our originally announced featured speaker, L.A. District Attorney Trutanich had to reschedule his visit to Valley VOTE to March 15. As a result our featured speaker planned for Feb 15, Trent Lange, kindly readjusted his calendar to be with us on Jan 18.)
